The Protectors returns to Bishan Stadium for it’s opening “home” match against Gombak United FC.

After spending 2 years at their temporary “home” base at Clementi Stadium, the Protectors are back to their original “home” stadium after last 2years events like Asian Youth Games and Youth Olympic Games held at various stadium including Bishan Stadium.

As this is Home United FC first home match back to Bishan Stadium, the club lined up a party atmosphere for all fans!

There will be plenty on offer from free hawker-style food and muffins to pop corn and floss candy for the young ones. At half-time, there will be a lucky draw for all spectators, with the top prize being a Apple iPad! Lion dance and Dragon dance performances before kick-off will drum up the volumes and ensure our Protectors are off to a rousing start back at Bishan Stadium!

Do join me and others this Thursday at Bishan Stadium! The gates will be opened at 6pm with food coupons and lucky draw coupons being distributed.

[Preview] Balestier Khalsa vs Home United

leave a comment »

Tonight first game of the season for both teams as last year’s 2nd runner-up Home United will make a short trip to Toa Payoh stadium to face Balestier Khalsa FC in Great Eastern-YEO’s S.LEAGUE match.

Much hype about their major signings of Frederic Mendy from last season’s champions team Etoile FC and Korean imports Kim Dae Eui from Samsung Bluewings. Many predicted that this the year for Home United to reclaim their long awaited trophy that they last won in 2003! Which was 7 years ago to be exact!

With the season still young, I wouldn’t predict straight away that Home United gonna win the S.LEAGUE trophy this year based on their pre-season signings. Shall wait till the mid season where I shall predict, on the other hand, be sure to head on down to Toa Payoh stadium to catch Home United face the Tigers of Balestier Khalsa FC!

Venue: Toa Payoh Stadium
Kickoff @1930hours

Predicted Line-ups: Lionel Lewis, Juma’at Jantan, Valery Hiek, Sharil Alias, Rosman Sulaiman, Shi Jiayi, Isa Halim, Asraf Rashid, Firdaus Idros, Kim Dae Eui, Frederic Mendy.

Suspension

Kenji Arai (First match of the season)

leave a comment »

The annual pre-cursor to the new S.League season is set to kick-off once again at *SCAPE this Saturday, 29 January. All 12 S.League teams, including newcomers Tanjong Pagar United will be out in full force as they vie for the prize of the Most Beautifully-Decorated Booth.

The highlight for this year’s event is the Futsal tournament where fan clubs from all 12 teams will take to the court for the coveted title of Futsal kings.
At the various booths, clubs will be giving away match tickets, club memorabilia and recruiting fan-club members. Fans will also get the opportunity to brush shoulders with their favourite S.League stars.

Besides the club booths, a fun-filled day of entertainment and prizes awaits both the young and old as fans will be treated to a performance by recently crowned H-TWO-O Ultimate Move 2010 winners, Natri Bibi and Deborah Tan along with an acrobatic display of superior ball control by the Urban Freestyle Team.

There will also be buskers, face-painting booths and exciting games for the whole family so be sure to be part of the action as we usher in another tantalising Great Eastern-YEO’S S.League season.
